The KMBI (Kabalikat para sa Maunlad na Buhay Inc.) Head Office had a good time in the Annual Christmas party held on December 19, 2011 at Kowloon House, West Avenue, Quezon City.
The staff all dressed up in their best Christmas element cheered the crowd with their creative costumes. Some were dressed as Santa Claus, as Israelite, as Angels and even as Christmas tree. The first part of program was dedicated to praise and worship and a reflection from KMBI’s pastor/mentor, Pastor Jebo Bansuelo. Afterwards, the Board of Trustees gave their Christmas Greetings to the staff led by KMBI’s Chairperson, Damiana Exiomo.
Before the second part of the program, Eduardo Jimenez, KMBI’s president and executive director, gave a meaningful message to the staff. According to Jimenez, the real meaning of Christmas is stated in Isaiah 9:6, “… For to us a child is born, a sign is given.” That Christmas is about the birth of our Lord and savior Jesus Christ and how God sacrificed His son to save us from our own sins. Jimenez also gave some words of encouragement to the staff on the struggles the organization has undergone this 2011. He shared a quote from Albert Einstein, “the greater the problem, the greater the opportunity,” reminding everyone that “we will be able to overcome the struggles, not by our own strength, not by our own mind, but because we chose to follow the will of God.”
As the night gone deeper, excitement filled the venue as eight accountability groups prepared a three-minute presentation about Christmas in the KMBI Showtime showdown. Awards were also given to the staff who won via voting done before the event date. Categories are Mr. and Ms. Friendship, Fashionista, Bibo and the likes. The organization also gave away laptop bags, Marks & Spencer gift packs, cellular phones and an LCD TV.
As the year ends, the staff was told to remember what Ephesians 3:20 said, “Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.” Jimenez added, “As we look forward to 2012, say what you think, what you can imagine, what you can ask for and we would be able to do it by His power not by your own.”
