Cebu North clean up drive against dengue

Cebu North branch recently organized a clean-up drive at Tejeros, Cebu City to prevent possible dengue threat. Aside from warding off dengue, the activity aimed to encourage residents to clean their own backyard and prompt them to actively serve the community.

“We are doing this not only for social activity but to somehow lessen the threat of dengue in our community,” said Marietta Cabral, Cebu North branch program assistant, as staff and program members start to clean up the center house and nearby areas.

“We really planned this activity because we know the importance of having a clean place to live. We are glad that members helped during the preparation and contribute for the expenses of the said activity,” said Susan Timona, center vice president for special project.

Due to its tremendous success, the branch plans to continue the clean-up drive next month.
