True to its mission of bringing integral transformation to poor communities, KMBI expanded its operation base in Cebu through the inauguration of Talisay branch on June 27, 2017. This marks KMBI’s 48th branch and Cebu area’s fourth.
Located at South Agora Homes, P. Deiparine St. in Talisay City, the newly instated branch will service the areas of Talisay, Minglanilla, and Naga.
In attendance to the rites were KMBI Chairman and Vice-President Mr. David D. Gutierrez, Board Member Dr. Rodolfo P. Estigoy, Regional Director for Luzon Operations Ms. Rachelle M. Basiya, Regional Director for VisMin Operations Ms. Amelita T. Andilab, Deputy Executive Director for the Management Services Group Ms. Madelyn P. Frijillano, Corporate Affairs Office Manager and Senior Executive Assistant Ms. Princes Dacca, Area Manager Ms. Elizabeth B. Alcon, Cebu North Branch Manager Ms. Rebecca Prada, and Mandaue Branch Manager Ms. Lorena E. Marin.
In his opening remarks, Mr. Gutierrez urged staff and Program Members present in the event to remain strong in the face of unpleasant challenges. He also commended the Program Members who have chosen to remain with the organization.
“I laud the Program Members who chose KMBI. Despite these uninvited trials, they chose to stay with us,” Mr. Gutierrez commended.
Meanwhile, Dr. Estigoy delineated the meaning of ‘hope’ from ‘wish’ during his inspirational speech. He further emphasized that KMBI is not offering purely financial and non-financial services, but it also provides hope.
“When they [clients] come here at KMBI, we offer hope, because hope is founded on something that is sure…With the hope we are giving them, in return they also find life,” he said, attesting to the truth of KMBI’s acronym.
Two pioneer Program Members of the new branch, namely Ms. Merlita Arlob and Divina Gelido, expressed their testament of patronage to KMBI’s financial and non-financial services.
