9 APPEND KILOS Scholars reached a milestone in their lives when they finished their college education. To celebrate these milestone APPEND mounted the 7th APPEND KILOS Thanksgiving Dinner last June 3, 2106 at the Manila Manor Hotel in Malate, Manila.

The event was attended by APPEND Board of Trustees and Management, representatives of partners organization, parents of the 9 students, co-scholars and previous APPEND KILOS grantees. KMBI President Eduardo C. Jimenez was in attendance at the event to personally congratulate Ronah Fae V. Directo. Ronah Fae was one of the scholars recognized that night. She is the daughter of Mrs. Ofelia Directo KMBI program member from Koronadal. RonahFae graduated from FEU with a degree in AB Communications, Cum Laude.

APPEND established the KILOS Scholarship Program (Knowledge for Inspiring Leadership, Opportunities and Spirituality) in partnership with Gordon V & Helen C. Smith Foundation to extend educational scholarship to deserving children of micro-entrepreneurs to continue their college education in top colleges and universities in Manila. Other than Ronah Fae, there were other children of KMBI program members who benefited in the APPEND KILOS Program. Many are now young professionals and some are even working in fields that give back to the communities.
