- Launched the “LEaD Camp” (Leadership Enhancement and Development), a program that focuses on harnessing the skills of KMBI staff
- Launched the ENTREP (Entrepreneurial Nurturing through Transformation , Re-formation and Empowerment Program). This is the umbrella program for the clients embodying the integrated interventions of microfinance, entrepreneur/enterprise development and values formation toward the realization of the Goal 25.250. This integrated intervention is also known as the three-pronged “building” approach: capital, capacity and character

- Garnered the Opportunity International Certificate of 100% Financial Sustainability for demonstrating Excellence in Financial Sustainability in 2006
- Received a Plaque of Recognition from People’s Credit and Finance Corporation for KMBI’s 21 years of quality service to the marginalized sector, valuable contribution for the growth and development of the microfinance industry and unwavering support and strong partnership with PCFC given in October 2007

- Became a Member of the Microfinance Council of the Philippines

- Outstanding KMBI members received the Microentrepreneur of the Year (MOTY) award in cooperation with Citigroup. Teresita Laraño and Ma. Jeaneta Ledesma, program members of General Santos and Davao branches, respectively, were awarded by Citigroup Philippines for Mindanao Island Group in 2005.
- Implemented SUCCESS Circle (KSC) and Improve Your Business (IYB) training series
- Launched the micro-insurance through the Karamay sa Buhay Program (KBP), which offered death insurance benefits ranging from Php25,000 to Php100,000 to members and dependents
- Launched the Microfinance Success Institute (MSI)

- Received the Opportunity International Gender Excellence Award in recognition of the organization’s excellence in service to women and commitment to gender equity and women’s leadership
- Expanded extensively to 17 more branches treading new areas like Bicol and farther CALABARZON (Region IVA, comprising Batangas, Cavite, Laguna, Quezon and Rizal)
